Air fryers are versatile, making mealtimes easier and healthier. Like any well-loved appliance, it’s important to take proper care of your air fryer to ensure years of reliable cooking. Here's our simple guide to keep your air fryer performing its best.

PLACE ON A FLAT SURFACE

For the best results it’s important to place your air fryer on a flat, heat-resistant and well ventilated surface. If the surface is uneven, the air fryer could tip, restricting airflow, leading to overheating and damage.

VENTILATION

Make sure your air fryer is not placed directly against a wall. Always leave a 15cm gap between the wall and the air fryer to ensure sufficient airflow. Avoid covering the vents and never place it directly next to the hob as heat or flames could cause damage.

KEEP THE TOP CLEAR

Air fryers need full ventilation for the best performance. Be sure to avoid leaving papers or other items on top of the air fryer, as this will restrict airflow and cause long-term damage.

USE THE CORRECT ACCESSORIES

Always use recommended Tower accessories specifically designed to fit your model air fryer. Accessories should not be near or touching the inside heating elements, so make sure to leave enough space to ensure efficient airflow.

DON'T OVERFILL

When cooking large portions of food, always ensure you don’t overfill the baskets beyond your air fryer’s capacity. If food touches the heating element or blocks airflow, it can cause overheating and pose a fire risk.

AVOID USING COOKING OILS

Cooking oils like olive and vegetable oil can start to smoke when exposed to high heat. As air fryers use hot air, any excess oil won’t be absorbed, leading to a build-up and causing damage. Always use a small amount of a light spray, applying it directly to food and not the basket.

CLEANING YOUR AIR FRYER

Clean your air fryer with a soft damp cloth to avoid excess water or drips. When cleaning the baskets, never submerge them fully into liquid. All you need is soapy water, then leave to soak and wipe with a soft damp cloth. If water gets into the vents, ensure the baskets dry thoroughly and are free of water before placing them back.

STORING YOUR AIR FRYER

Always let your Tower air fryer cool down for at least 30 minutes before putting it away. Once cooled and cleaned store it in a dry, safe place. If you leave it on your countertop, make sure it's not near any heat sources like gas hobs. This keeps your air fryer safe and in great condition.
