INGREDIENTS
2 packs of instant ramen noodles
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp cream cheese
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste) or Sriracha
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 green onion, sliced
1 soft-boiled egg
Seaweed sheets (nori)
Sesame seeds

METHOD

1.    Boil a pot of water. Add the instant ramen noodles and cook according to the package instructions (usually 3-4 minutes).


2.    Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside.


3.     In the same pot over low heat, melt the butter.


4.     Add the cream cheese, soy sauce, gochujang (or Sriracha), minced garlic, and sesame oil (if using). Stir well until the cream cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy and smooth.

 

5.     Add the cooked ramen noodles to the pot with the sauce. Toss gently until the noodles are well coated in the creamy sauce. Heat for an additional minute to ensure everything is warmed through.


6.     Divide the ramen into bowls.


7.     Top each bowl with sliced green onions, a soft-boiled egg (cut in half), and any optional garnishes like nori sheets or sesame seeds.

TIP

Include toppings like pak choy, mushrooms, watercress or snap peas.
