Cheeseburger Sausage Rolls

Cheeseburger Sausage Rolls

6 Jun 2024

15 MINS

12-15 MINS

36

INGREDIENTS
500g Extra Lean Beef Mince
60g Pickles (diced)
60g Brown onion (diced)
1x Egg
50g Tomato Sauce
50g American Mustard
3x Sheets Puff Pastry
8x Slices Burger Cheese
5g Sesame Seeds

METHOD

1.    In a mixing bowl, combine the extra lean beef mince, diced pickles, diced brown onion, egg, tomato sauce, and American mustard. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

2.    Lay out one sheet of puff pastry on a clean surface. Cut it into two equal rectangles.

3.     Take a portion of the beef mixture and shape it into a long sausage shape, about the length of the pastry rectangle. Place the sausage-shaped beef mixture along one edge of the pastry rectangle.

4.     Lay a slice of burger cheese on top of the beef mixture.

5.     Roll the pastry over the beef mixture and cheese tightly to form a sausage roll. Repeat this process with the remaining pastry and beef mixture.

6.     Once all the sausage rolls are assembled, brush the tops lightly with beaten egg and sprinkle sesame seeds over them.

7.   Place the sausage rolls in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between them to allow for even cooking. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

8.   Air fry the sausage rolls at 180°C  for 12-15 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

9.    Once cooked, remove the sausage rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

TIP

If you like spice, try adding chopped jalapeños in place of the pickles or serve with a spicy mayo for an extra kick!
