Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

Air Fryer Pizza Rolls

26 Jul 2024

10 MINS

6-8 MINS

4

INGREDIENTS
8 slices of white or whole wheat bread
100g mozzarella cheese, grated
100g pepperoni slices or any other preferred toppings
100ml pizza sauce or marinara sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp garlic powder
Chopped fresh basil for
garnish

METHOD

1.     Trim the crusts off the slices of bread. Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread as much as possible.

2.   Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over each flattened slice of bread.

3.     Sprinkle a generous amount of grated mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.

4.     Add a few slices of pepperoni or any other toppings you prefer.

5.     Carefully roll up each slice of bread tightly, starting from one edge and rolling to the other. Secure the seam with a bit of melted butter to help it stick if needed.

6.      Brush the outside of each rolled-up bread with melted butter. Sprinkle with dried oregano and garlic powder for extra flavour.

7.   Preheat the air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3-5 minutes.

8.  Place the pizza rolls in the air fryer basket, seam side down. Make sure they are not touching to allow for even cooking.

9.   Air fry for 6-8 minutes, turning halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

10.    Remove the pizza rolls from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Sprinkle with chopped fresh basil.

TIP

Prefer BBQ? Switch the tomato base for BBQ sauce and add some precooked chicken breast for a delicious twist!
