Air Fryer Gluten Free Garlic and Cheese Rolls

Air Fryer Gluten Free Garlic and Cheese Rolls

16 Jan 2025

20 MINS

12-15 MINS

8 ROLLS

INGREDIENTS
250g gluten-free all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
60g unsalted butter, melted
120ml milk
1 large egg
60g unsalted butter, softened
3 garlic cloves, minced
1/2 tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
100g grated cheese (e.g., mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

METHOD

1.    In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.

2.    Add the melted butter, milk, and egg. Stir until the dough comes together. If it’s too sticky, add a little more flour, 1 tablespoon at a time.

3.     Lightly flour a clean surface and roll the dough into a rectangle approximately 10x8 inches (25x20cm).

4.     Spread the softened butter evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the minced garlic and dried oregano on top.

5.     Add the grated cheese, spreading it evenly across the surface.

6.     Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, starting from the longer side. Slice the log into 8 equal pieces.

7.     Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 3 minutes.

8.     Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

9.     Arrange the rolls in the basket, leaving some space between each one to allow for expansion.

10.     Air fry the rolls at 180°C (350°F) for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Check after 10 minutes to ensure they’re not overcooking.

11.     Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

12.     Serve warm as a snack, appetiser, or side dish.

TIP

Pair with a crisp Caesar salad, mixed greens, or an rocket and parmesan salad for a light contrast.
