INGREDIENTS
2 large bagels, halved
8 strips of streaky bacon
120g cream cheese, softened
1/2 tsp garlic powder 
1/2 tsp dried chives or parsley 

METHOD

1.    Cut a hole through the bagels, as if cutting the top off. 


2.    Mix the cream cheese & grated cheese with garlic powder and dried chives (if using) for extra flavour.


3.     Spread a generous layer of the mixture within the hole you cut out and place the top over the mixture to secure. 


4.     Take two strips of bacon per bagel piece. Wrap them around the bagel, overlapping slightly to ensure coverage.

 

5.     Preheat your air fryer to 190°C (375°F) for 3 minutes.


6.     Arrange the bacon-wrapped bagels in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding.


7.     Air fry for 12-15 minutes, turning halfway through, until the bacon is crispy and golden.


8.     Allow the bagels to cool for a minute before serving.

TIP

Brush bagels with a light layer of maple syrup or honey before wrapping for a sweet-savory combo.
